After reading a raving review in the current issue of Missy Magazine, I listened to the new self-titled album by Light Asylum. I’m not sure whether I like the album or not, but I’m intrigued. My first thought was: This is what it would sound like if Joy Division (the obvious reference) had replaced Ian Curtis with Grace Jones instead of becoming New Order. 

I do like the first single ‘Shallow Tears.‘ I want to make/see a movie that has it as soundtrack. And end every Saturday club night with it.

Oh, and Vina Yun, in aforementioned Missy review, claims singer Shannon  Funchess is ‘the next butch-poster-girl of the season.’
