Alabama Shakes new song “Don’t Wanna Fight” – wowza. One minute in, I’m in love and setting aside money for the new record (Sound & Color, out in April.) What a groove, what a voice. Brittany Howard is amazing.

https://player.vimeo.com/api/player.js While the entire internet is abuzz about one woman’s new video, I discovered another: Mirel Wagner, born in Ethiopia and raised in Finland, makes sparse, minimal, blues-folk music. This song, “No Death”, is especially haunting. Her self-titled album came out last fall. (Source: https://player.vimeo.com/)
