Sometimes the world is so small. I wanted to recommend a poetry reading with the amazing Warsan Shire to a good friend living in London. Turns out, my friend Fanny already knew Warsan – in person. My friend works at Pop Up Projects and they work together with Warsan Shire on a few Somali-language projects. One of them is this amazing short film.
