President Obama gave an amazing speech to his Chicago staff, thanking them, talking about his past as a young organizer and how proud he is of them and how much he believes in them
And it’s so real. So heartfelt. So honest.
He, maybe the best orator of his time, even does all the gesture people (okay: I) do when they give unscripted speeches about things that really matter to them: He awkwardly readjusts the perfectly adjusted microphone. He holds on to the microphone. He looks at his audience and doesn’t at the same time.
And he sheds a few tears.
