On Trayvon’s Killer

When George Zimmerman’s father started claiming his son to be a “Spanish speaking minority” I was confused: Is he suddenly claiming to be a minority, a non-white minority, as if that makes the act less heinous? I would think it’s still a prejudiced killing, it still is ‘anti-black’ and, depending on your definition of the term, racist.
